We here at Smiling Hill are pleased to announce our first blogsite. We hope that family and friends will enjoy our array of family "pics" and selected adventures. In the spirit of Smiling Hill, we hope that every blog is full of ridiculous sunshine. For those interested in SH lore, the title "Smiling Hill" was the name of a family farm nestled in the rolling hills of yesteryear (sigh). Oliver + S

Oliver + S sells super cute sewing patterns. This last month they gave this pattern away for free. You just download it from their sight www.oliverands.com

I made two pairs of these "sunny days shorts" and added a ruffle at the bottom. I love how they turned out. They were so easy too!

I added a pocket on Marian's shorts to help me know front from back. I guessed at its placement so it looks a little off. But still cute :)

2014 will be my summer of sewing !!!

Freezer Meal Clubs

So I wanted to try out freezer meal club with my ward. Now that I'm no longer sick and pregnant or sleep deprived, I would like to do things that create balanced friendships. Time to be proactive about relationships rather than just grateful for those who are willing to give and give and help and help.

My first mass email had 15 responses.Two days later we are at 10 ladies. After our first orientation meeting I'll be happy with 6.
